A simple change to my invoice subject line got me paid in 2 days
I was waiting on a payment from a regular customer for over a month. My usual invoice subject was just 'Invoice from Luna Ellis'. Last week, I changed it to 'Payment Due: Invoice #104 for Service on 5/12'. I sent it again with that new subject. The money hit my account 48 hours later. Has anyone else found that being super specific in the subject line speeds things up?
Used to think the subject line didn't matter at all, honestly. Figured the important part was the actual invoice inside the email. Your story totally changed my mind on that. It makes sense now, a vague subject just looks like any other email, but putting "Payment Due" right there makes it urgent. I'm going to try this with my own invoices next time. Might just save me a lot of waiting around.
