Everybody says send net 30 invoices but net 15 got me paid way faster
I switched from net 30 to net 15 terms about 3 months ago for my freelance IT work, and my average payment time dropped from 45 days to 22 days. Has anyone else tried shorter payment windows and seen a real difference?

Well now, that's interesting timing! A friend of mine runs a small graphic design studio and she was having the same cash flow headaches. She made the switch from net 30 to net 15 about six months back and told me her clients actually started paying faster without any pushback. She said the shorter window made people treat the invoice like a real bill instead of something they could put off forever. It really surprised her how many of her corporate clients just rolled with it.

Switched my own invoicing from net 30 to net 15 about a year back and saw basically the same jump in payment speed. It's a small change that made a big difference for my cash flow.
