Got stiffed by a clinic that ghosted me after 3 invoices
Back in March I did a small bookkeeping cleanup for a dental clinic over in Tulsa, $640 total. Sent the first invoice, nothing. Followed up twice with polite emails, then a call where the office manager said, "We pay when we pay." That was the last time they answered. I finally mailed a paper bill with a 2% late fee notice and still got silence. Has anyone had luck with small claims court for amounts under a grand, or is it not worth the filing hassle?

You filed the paperwork yet? I did this exact thing for a landlord who owed me $780. Cost me like $50 to file and I did it all online. Sent them the court notice and suddenly they remembered how to write a check. Took about two months from filing to getting paid. For $640 I say go for it. Just make sure you got those emails and the paper bill saved. That's your proof. Judges see this stuff all the time and they don't like ghosting. Worst case you win and they still don't pay, but most small businesses fold once it's official.

File it fast. That paper trail is your whole case.
