I finally stopped sending invoices on Fridays after a client in Tulsa pointed out my pattern
A bookkeeper I met at a networking event told me Friday invoices get buried and paid last, and sure enough after I switched to Monday sends, my average payment time dropped from 38 days to 21, so has anyone else noticed a weekday difference with slow clients?

That bit about invoices getting buried on Fridays hits home. My buddy runs a small landscaping crew and he used to send everything Friday evening after the last job. He'd complain all the time about one dentist office in particular that always took forever to pay. One day his wife, who does the books for a church, told him to try Tuesday mornings instead because that's when the office manager actually sits down at her desk with coffee. He switched and that dentist paid in nine days flat. Now he schedules every single invoice to go out Tuesday at like 9am and swears by it.
