Question about late fees on overdue bills

A client took six months to pay. I kept sending invoices. No money came. Then I put a late fee on the bill. Only 5% after one month. They paid right away. Now I do this with all slow payers. My wait time is way down.

Try putting the late fee right in your first contract. Makes it super clear upfront and cuts down on the back and forth later.

That "super clear upfront" idea is spot on! I added a late fee clause from the start and it totally changed the game for me.
