Rant: my bookkeeper said to drop my hourly rate and I actually listened
For 6 months I've been chasing a plumbing outfit in Tucson that sits on invoices for 45 days, and last Tuesday my bookkeeper, Dana, said "a rate they pay slow is still better than a rate they don't pay at all" and told me to drop my late fee. I cut it from 5 percent to 2, and the owner paid the $3,400 balance the next morning, which honest to god felt like losing a fight on purpose. Does anyone else have a slow payer who only moves once you make it cheaper to pay than to stall?
