Ever read that thing about how the brain hates unfinished tasks? Chasing money feels like that, it just sits there bugging you. Makes the whole job feel sour even if the work itself was fine.

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. I started putting a clear payment schedule right in my first email now, before I even start the work. Like, half up front, half on delivery, net 7 days. It cuts down on the awkward back and forth so much. People just pay faster when the rules are plain from the start.
