The time I invoiced a client from a hot air balloon ride over Temecula

I was on a hot air balloon ride last month for my cousin's birthday, and at 2,000 feet up my phone buzzes with a $450 payment from a client I'd been chasing for 6 weeks. I actually pulled out my phone right there, snapped a photo of the vineyard below, and attached it to a thank-you email from the basket. The pilot saw me and yelled "No texting over the wineries!" but the money hit my account before we landed. Has anyone else sent a bill or got paid in a weird location like that?

Getting paid mid-tattoo sounds like a pro move, @victorhernandez, though my hot air balloon moment was less badass and more "please don't drop my phone into the Temecula valley below." The pilot yelling at me definitely took the edge off any cool points I thought I earned up there. Guess we both know the real struggle is keeping still while the money hits.

Got paid $800 once while I was getting a tattoo, artist was mid-line on my forearm and my phone buzzed with a PayPal notification. Had to hold still while grinning like an idiot. The ink was still fresh when I fired off a quick "got it, thanks" reply with one hand. Felt kinda badass honestly. Never got yelled at by anyone except my artist for moving lol.

Lucky that was just PayPal. Cryptocurrency transfers make that stupid noise in front of everyone.
