@joseph957 dramatic? Maybe. But the whole "I'm above this" thing is a real trap with prestige TV. What specifically about the show's setup made you cave and watch it, or was it just the hype cycle wearing you down? Because I had the same attitude about a sports movie once, then someone just said "watch the first ten minutes" and suddenly I'm three episodes deep at 2 AM.
Wood.jana's point about promises to free time hits different when you've already broken that promise to yourself. The show earned its ending though, which is rare for something that gets that much praise.
