Just hit 50 episodes of a show I thought I'd hate
My wife made me watch the first episode of 'The Great British Bake Off' and I rolled my eyes... but now I've watched 50 episodes in two weeks. It's the calmest, most low-stakes thing ever and I can't stop. Who else got hooked on a show that seemed totally wrong for them?

The calmest, most low-stakes thing ever" is exactly why it works...

Right, because when something feels easy and chill, you don't get in your own head about it. You just do the thing without all that pressure to be perfect. It's like the opposite of trying too hard, and that's when the good stuff actually happens.

Oh man, YES! This is exactly what I've been trying to explain to people about why I've gotten so into yoga lately. I used to get all wound up about hitting the perfect pose and comparing myself to everyone else in the class. Then one day I just let go and focused on how the movement felt instead of how it looked, and that was the game changer. Now I go to class with zero expectations and I actually leave feeling better instead of stressed out. It's wild how much better things go when you just let them happen naturally.

Totally agree. I stopped overthinking my workouts and just went with what felt good, ended up having way more fun.
