Just noticed I watched 43 episodes of one show in two weeks

I started watching The Great British Baking Show last month and somehow hit 43 episodes before I even realized it. That's almost 30 hours of bread and handshakes in 14 days. Has anyone else had a show creep up on them like that without noticing the number?

Thirty hours of TV in two weeks sounds less like a show creeping up on you and more like a full time job.

Wait, is that like what people call "binge watching" now but tracked like a timesheet? I totally get where you're coming from though because I once watched this show called "The 100" and I swear it took over my life for a straight month. I'd stay up until like 2 AM thinking "just one more episode" and then the sun would come up. It's wild how a show can just suck you in and before you know it you've spent more hours with those characters than you have with your own friends. The funny thing is I can't even explain what the show was about now, it just felt IMPORTANT at the time.

Relate to @tessalane though, that's basically a part time job with no pay and a blurry ending.
