Just realized I was wrong about skipping filler episodes, my rewatch in Denver proved it
Everyone says skip the filler and get to the main story, but I binged all 22 episodes of season 3 again last month and the so-called boring ones held the small moments that made the finale land. My buddy in Denver kept telling me the "filler" episodes were the reason the characters felt real, and after two nights of watching I had to admit he was right. The pacing feels slower at first, but the payoff in the last three episodes hit way harder with those quiet scenes. I still think some shows pad things out too much, but writing off every slow episode as skippable is lazy advice. Has anyone else gone back and found the slow parts were doing more work than they thought?
