My buddy swore I was wasting money on premium streaming services

My friend Dave kept telling me to ditch Netflix and Hulu cause he said they all have the same shows. I finally did a trial run for 3 months and canceled everything except the free tier stuff. Turns out he was dead wrong about the selection - I missed out on like 6 new series I wanted to watch like that Bear show and The Last of Us. Ended up resubscribing after 2 weeks cause I got bored scrolling through the same 10 movies on Pluto TV. Has anyone else had a friend give terrible streaming advice like that?

dude that Bear show is legit, i started watching it on a whim and now i'm hooked. what did Dave even suggest you watch instead, like old episodes of Law & Order? lol. like did he actually sit down and compare what's exclusive to each service or was he just talking out his ass?

Oh please, James has been trying to convince everyone that The Bear is just "fancy restaurant drama" while he binges the same three seasons of some British baking show on loop. Pretty sure Dave's suggestion was a free trial of a rabbit ears antenna so you can catch whatever's on network TV. If you want to talk overlap, compare the cooking scenes in The Bear to any Gordon Ramsay show and tell me who's really out here pretending.
