My coworker told me I was overthinking Season 2 of Dark... she was totally right

I spent like 6 episodes taking notes and pausing to look up character trees online. Finally my coworker Jenny said 'stop trying to solve it and just watch it.' She was 100% correct. Once I relaxed and stopped treating it like homework I actually followed the story way better. Has anyone else ruined a show by trying too hard to figure it out early?

Sure, I tried that with Breaking Bad. Made it about 20 minutes before I gave up and just stared at Bryan Cranston's face like the rest of normal people. Taking notes just means you're doing homework while pretending to relax.

Oh man I totally did this with Lost back in the day! Just trust the creators to take you on the ride and save the deep dives for after you finish the season.
