My friend told me my watch list was a mess and it totally changed my binging

He looked at my streaming apps last week and said, 'You have 42 shows saved and you keep starting new ones, no wonder you never finish anything.' I deleted everything except the three I was most excited about and finished a whole season in two days. How do you guys keep your watch list from getting out of control?

So how do you keep yourself from just ignoring your own rules when a new hyped show drops? @skyler_johnson32 you're lucky your sister has taste, but what happens when she recommends a dud and you're stuck halfway through?

Read an article that called it "decision fatigue." Every time you open Netflix and see a huge list, your brain gets tired from choosing and you just pick something new. I keep a physical notepad by the TV now. If I hear about a show, I write it down there instead of hitting "add to list." My rule is I can only have one show per streaming service saved at a time. Forces me to finish or let it go. What's the point of a list if it just makes you feel bad, right?

Honestly, I just ask my sister what to watch. She always knows what's good.

Actually, having a huge list is a good problem to have. It means you always have options for any mood you're in. My watchlist is like my own personal video store, and I like knowing my choices are saved for later. The notepad method sounds like extra work when the app can remember things for you. Sometimes the fun is just browsing and picking something random anyway.
