Pro tip: I watched the first episode of 'Severance' three times before I got it

I mean, I kept zoning out during the weird office scenes and missing the whole point. My friend in Chicago said to just push through to episode 4, so I did. The plot twist about the 'outie' party completely hooked me, and I finished the season in two days. Has anyone else had a show that started slow but got amazing after a few episodes?

What show was that for you? I almost gave up on The Wire after the first few episodes. Stuck with it and it's now my favorite show ever.

Totally get that with The Wire. Had the same thing happen with Mad Men. Found the first few episodes slow and couldn't connect with Don Draper at all. Pushed through on a friend's begging and by season two I was completely hooked on the character details. Now I rewatch it every couple years.
