The waitress at Denny's who called out my 3am binge habit

Last Tuesday I was at the Denny's on Route 9 around 3am, halfway through season 2 of some crime drama on my phone, and the waitress refilled my coffee, looked at the screen, and said 'you know the ending is spoiled in the first episode, right?' I shrugged it off but then she explained how she watches the finale first to decide if a show is worth the time, and now I've tried it on three shows, it actually saves me from wasting hours on weak endings. Has anyone else tried this backwards approach or am I just eating cold pancakes for no reason?

Read some study that said spoilers actually make shows more enjoyable. Maybe she's onto something.
