Doesn't that say something about how we're always waiting for something better to happen in real life too? I catch myself doing the same thing with my own conversations sometimes, just waiting for the next interesting part instead of being in the moment.

Ha, yeah that dinner party episode is a real slog. I mean, I get what they were going for with the awkwardness but it just felt like it went on forever.

My brother does that same thing when we're watching shows together, he's always scrolling through his phone waiting for the "good part" and then asks me to rewind. It's wild how we've trained ourselves to zone out during the slow bits and only pay attention during the big moments. Makes me wonder how much we're missing in our own lives because we're always looking ahead to the next thing instead of sitting with what's actually happening.
