Can we talk about my attempt to make a decorative fire poker for the living room?
I accidentally forged it so long it won't fit through the door, and now it's just leaning in the hallway like a weird metal guest.

Oh man, that reminds me of my buddy who built a huge wooden table in his garage. He was so proud of it. Spent a whole weekend on it. Then he realized it was way too wide to actually get it through the door into his kitchen. Had to take the whole door frame off just to get it inside. Honestly, some of our best ideas have the worst math.

Actually, it's probably not the math that failed, just forgot to measure the door first... happens to the best of us.

Forgetting to measure the door isn't just a simple oversight. It's a basic step in any project. In my experience, skipping that leads to wasted time and materials. You gotta always check your clearances before you start building.
