Coal vs. propane forges, wish I switched years ago

After 8 months of fighting clinkers and uneven heat with coal in my little shop outside Tulsa, I borrowed a buddy's propane forge last Saturday and got a clean weld on the first try, so has anyone else made the jump and never looked back?
