Dropped $200 on a forge blower and it burned out in 3 weeks

Thought I was saving cash with some off-brand blower from a random supplier, but now I'm back to using hand bellows while I wait for a replacement. Anyone else had luck with used blowers from old farm auctions?

Farm auctions can be a good deal but you gotta be ready to rewire stuff. I picked up a hand crank blower once that looked fine until I got it home and found the bearings were shot. Hand bellows might not be the worst thing in the world, they let you work the fire slower and actually see what you're doing. Three weeks on a $200 blower is rough but at least you didn't spend $600 on the name brand one that could die just as fast.
