Question about a cracked anvil face. I was working on a big leaf spring knife in my garage and my 70 pound anvil just split right down the middle on the third heat.

That split down the middle means it's scrap now, sorry.

Ever try a two-part epoxy? Fixed a split cutting board that way years ago, still holds.

Hold up, why's it automatically scrap? That crack looks pretty clean. Couldn't you just fill it with epoxy or something and keep using it? I've fixed way worse. Seems wasteful to toss it over one split. What if it's still good for another purpose?

ward.diana says it's scrap but honestly I bet that anvil still has plenty of life left.
