Met a guy at a game store who only plays games he wins
I was browsing the used game shelf at The Gamer's Guild in Springfield last Saturday when this older fellow named Pete started telling me about his collection. He said he owns over 800 board games but only plays each one once - the first time he loses, he trades it away and never touches it again. Has anyone else run into a player with a rule like that?

Admit that sounds like me with video games, I rage quit almost everything.

You know that moment when you've been grinding for hours and some random enemy clips through a wall and one-shots you... I lost it last week on a game because my character got stuck in a rock and the boss just wailed on me while I couldn't move. My wife walked in and asked if I was okay, I was just staring at the screen with my controller half-bent. Ended up uninstalling right there and didn't touch it for three days.

and that's exactly the kind of moment that makes me want to throw my whole setup out the window. it's like the game just decides you're done for the night and finds the dumbest way to do it. i had a similar thing happen in a survival game where i fell through the map and just kept falling for a solid minute before it finally killed me and i lost everything i had been carrying for hours. @brooke448 asked about close games but honestly those are almost worse because you feel like you could have won if the game didn't glitch out. i bet your wife was just hoping you weren't having a stroke or something, haha. did you end up reinstalling that game or did you move on to something else?
