My dentist asked me if I had a 'game night' and it made me think about how we look
I was at my checkup last week, and my dentist, Dr. Miller, was making small talk. He looked at me and said, 'You know, you have the classic look of someone who runs a weekly game night.' I just laughed and asked what that meant. He said it was the focused look in my eyes, like I was always thinking three moves ahead. It hit different because I never thought about how this hobby might actually show on my face. Has anyone else gotten a weird comment that made you realize how much board games are part of your vibe?

My barista last month asked if I was a dungeon master because I was staring at the pastry case like it was a battle map. I guess my resting face is just permanently stuck in 'calculating resource management' mode. A friend's mom once said I have the posture of someone waiting for their turn to roll dice. It's kind of wild how this stuff leaks out when you're not even playing.

Lol that's so true. I mean, I've definitely caught myself sizing up a grocery store aisle like it's a dungeon hallway. It's like your brain just gets stuck in that tactical mode forever.

Ever wonder if we're just training our brains a certain way? I used to think it was just a funny habit, but @rowanw91 is right about it sticking. After years of running games, I catch myself looking at a crowded room and automatically picking out the choke points and cover. It's not even a conscious choice anymore, it's just how my mind works. Makes you realize how much those patterns sink in over time.
