Shoutout to the guy at the game store who called me out on my teaching style

I was teaching my group 'Terraforming Mars' last Friday and a friend of a friend, Mark, just said 'Dude, you're explaining every single card as you draw it, my brain is full.' I mean, he was right, I was going way too deep too fast. So now I just do the basic rules, play one round open-handed, and only explain cards when they come up. It cut our setup time in half. Anyone else get feedback that made you change how you run game night?

Nah, I'd lose my mind if @shane165 didn't explain every rule first.

Read a blog that called this the "just-in-time" teaching method.

My brother gave me the same note after I over-explained Scythe.
