Warning: I stopped inviting my friend who always 'wings it' on rules

After three game nights ruined by constant arguments, I made a house rule that you have to read the manual before you play, and it actually cut our setup time in half. Anyone else have a player who just refuses to learn the basics?

Got a buddy who had a whole game fall apart over this. His cousin landed on Boardwalk with no money left. Started screaming that the bank should just give him a loan. My friend tried to tell him about the auction rule but the cousin wouldn't listen. Threw the board across the room and stormed out. Whole group just sat there in silence for like five minutes.
