Found a 9 pound wrench in a ceiling grid after 11 years

I was doing a boiler inspection at an old school in Gary last month and noticed a weird lump in the suspended ceiling tiles. Pulled one down and there sat a 9 pound sledge wrench, rusted but still solid, probably left by some crew back in 2013. Anyone else ever find random tools hidden in weird spots on a jobsite?

Rusted but still solid means somebody probably used it for years after it was "lost." Nine pounds is too heavy to just forget about in a ceiling tile, that's a purposeful stash. I've seen guys hide tools up there so they don't have to haul them back and forth, then they quit or get moved to another site and it just sits there. Finding it after 11 years is more about lazy inventory than a fun mystery. That wrench is probably worth more as scrap metal now than what the school paid for it originally. You're better off just tossing it in your truck and moving on.
