Just hit 500 welds on the same flange without a single reject
I'm working a job down in Port Arthur right now and finally crossed 500 welds on this one massive flange. No leaks, no grind-outs, no rework. It's just a number but it makes me feel like all that time burning rod in my 20s actually paid off. How many welds do you guys track before you call it a milestone?

My buddy Mike hit 600 on a refinery flange in Baton Rouge and then blew out a valve on 601.

Yeah I used to think hitting 600 meant you were pushing it too hard, but seeing that kind of consistency on big flanges like that totally changed my mind lol. Sounds like Mike knows what he's doing.

You've been at this 500 welds without a single reject? That's not just a number, that's a real testament to your skill and patience. I know how those big flanges can test a man, especially when you're out in Port Arthur with all that pressure and heat. It makes all those years of burning rod worth it when you can step back and see clean work like that. At a certain point, you just know your hands and your eye are working together right, and it sounds like you've got that dialed in. Good for you, Henry. That kind of consistency is nothing to shrug off.
