TIL the apprenticeship math test in Ohio has a 40 question practice sheet online
I was poking around the Ohio Boilermakers apprenticeship site during lunch and found a 40 question practice sheet for the math test. I'm 3 weeks into studying for my entrance exam and had no clue it was just sitting there free. It covers fractions, decimals, and basic algebra, mostly stuff I learned back in school but forgot. My uncle who got in 12 years ago never mentioned it, he just told me to "know your fractions." Anyone here take the test recently? What tripped you up the most?
Did you see the part about the word problems on that sheet? I heard from a guy at the union hall that the real test loves those pipe length and measurement questions where you gotta convert feet to inches and back. That stuff gets people more than the straight algebra. My cousin bombed it his first try because he rushed the decimal to fraction ones.
