Pro tip: switched from waxed thread to linen thread on my last 3 books and I'm not going back
I gave every book I made for 2 years a spine lining with waxed thread because that was what the guy at the supply store in Akron told me to get when I started. Last month I tried unwaxed linen on a 300 page rebind and the signatures pulled tight with a lot less effort pulling through the holes. Anyone else stick with linen over waxed, or did you go back for the grip?
