Question about using wheat paste on a book I sewed in Phoenix, it did not go how I planned
I sewed a 300 page journal last month and tried wheat paste for the spine instead of my usual PVA, and the whole thing warped so bad the covers bowed out about a quarter inch. I let it dry under weight for 3 days and it still pulled, which makes me think I mixed it too thin or just used way too much. Has anyone here had luck with paste on thicker text blocks, or should I just keep paste for thin pamphlets?
