Scrap fabric is the only way I'll bind books anymore
I bought new book cloth for years without a second thought. Then I helped clean out a textile recycling bin. The amount of perfect fabric thrown out shocked me. Now I only use donated scraps and old linens. My bindings have more character and I'm not adding to landfill waste.

Used to buy new too, now I get it.

Saw an article about Levi’s jeans last week. The price difference between new and secondhand was pretty wild. Makes total sense to buy used now.

It's crazy how much you can save by going secondhand. I've found some great pairs at thrift stores that lasted years. The quality on old Levi's is often better than new ones anyway. Makes you wonder why we ever paid full price... Plus, it feels good to give clothes a second life.

Yeah, I started checking out the used section at my local shop. Found a pair of 501s from like ten years ago for under twenty bucks. The denim was way thicker than what they sell now, and they've held up perfectly. It's the only way I buy jeans anymore.
