The librarian who corrected my stitching in front of everyone

At a Guild meeting last March in Portland, this older woman walked up mid-demo and pointed at my coptic stitch, said 'that's not a proper kettle stitch, it'll fail in 2 years.' She was right, I checked my last 3 journals from that method and they all sagged. Anyone else had a stranger's critique turn out better than any class you paid for?
