Disagree about the rose garden at the Atlanta Botanical Garden - it's overrated
I went to the Atlanta Botanical Garden last Saturday and everyone raves about the rose garden there. But I gotta say, the rose section felt too manicured and fake to me. The whole thing looked like it was designed for Instagram photos, not for actual plant diversity. The native plant section tucked in the back corner had way more interesting stuff like wild grasses and pollinators actually working. Anyone else find the popular spots in botanical gardens kind of boring compared to the less visited areas?

The rose garden's water usage must be insane for how little wildlife it supports.

Honestly, it's just a garden, not that deep.

3 people on my block ripped out their lawns last summer and called it "rewilding." One lady just let the weeds take over and called it a butterfly sanctuary. It is a garden. But it also says something about who we are. Like, people are out here trying to make a statement with their dirt and plants, and pretending it's not a statement is kinda the point of the statement, right?
