Just realized my pothos has been thriving in the wrong direction all along

I spent 6 months rotating it away from the window because I thought the yellowing was sunburn, but it was actually root rot from my overwatering, so I switched to bottom watering and now the new leaves are finally coming in green, has anyone else had a plant bounce back after they quit fussing with it?

Ha! I once thought my snake plant was dying because I kept moving it to the darkest corner, turns out it was just mad I never dusted the leaves. I spent a whole month wiping each one down with a damp cloth and whispering apologies. Then I accidentally knocked the pot over and found three baby pups hiding under the soil. Now it’s got this whole messy jungle thing going on and I just leave it alone except for the occasional dusting. Funny how they bounce back when you stop treating them like a project.
