My ferns started rotting after I switched to a fancy watering schedule
I thought I was being clever following some influencer's advice to water my ferns every other day with a misting bottle. Three weeks in, the fronds turned yellow and mushy, and I found mold on the soil surface. Turns out my basement humidity is already around 70% so they were drowning. I yanked them out, repotted in drier mix, and now I just stick my finger in the dirt before watering. Anybody else fall for overwatering trends?

Nah, honestly the real lesson is just knowing your own space before copying anyone's routine lol.
