Am I the only one who thinks tuckpointing in summer heat beats spring work
Did a chimney repoint on a house in Phoenix back in July, mortar set up fast and the joints came out cleaner than anything I did in April. Spent 6 months fighting damp spring mornings where the mix kept sliding and I had to babysit every bed. Anyone else notice their best looking work comes out of the worst weather or is it just me losing my mind out here?

Sounds nuts but yeah, my best mortar work happens when I'm sweating my butt off.
