Last Tuesday was the worst day I've had on a job in years

Started the morning with a pallet of bricks that showed up soaked from rain, so they were all clumped together and took forever to separate. Then my mortar mix was way too wet because I misjudged the sand dryness, had to scrap the first batch after I already laid 20 bricks. To top it off, my level fell off a scaffold and cracked the bubble on the spirit level I've had for 8 years. Has anyone else had a day where everything just fought back like that?

Watched my buddy Mike try to lay a walkway in July heat. His line level kept snapping in the sun and his wheelbarrow had a flat tire. He just sat down on the curb and stared at the sky for five minutes.

Ask him if that five minute sky stare was a mental reset or if he was lowkey questioning every life choice that led to that moment.
