Saw a crew in San Antonio laying brick with a string line and no level, and it honestly bugged me at first
Was down in San Antonio checking out a job site near the River Walk and watched this older dude set a whole run using nothing but a string and his eye. I always figured you needed a level on every course or you were asking for trouble, but he checked the last brick with one and it was dead on. His line was tight at 40 feet and he said the string never lies if you set it right. Made me wonder how many of you trust the line over the level on long runs.
