Saw a crew using a laser level for a simple garden wall and thought it was overkill
But after helping them for an hour, the speed and perfect lines convinced me. Anyone else switch to lasers for smaller jobs after being skeptical?

Oh man, I was the same way! I used to think my old four-foot level was just fine for everything. Then I borrowed a laser for a small patio project and it changed my whole process. The time saved on not having to check and recheck lines was huge. Stella111 is right that they aren't new tech, but they feel like a cheat code once you use them. Now I won't start anything that needs to be straight without one.

Funny how we write off good tools as overkill until we see them work. That laser level story is everywhere now, from people using kitchen scales for coffee to apps that split bills. We call it extra until it saves us time and hassle. Makes you wonder what other "too much" gear we should actually try, right?

Actually, laser levels are a pretty recent invention for most people. They only became common and affordable in the last couple of decades. The old school bubble levels were the standard for a very long time.
