That cheap mortar mix I grabbed at the big box store burned me on a retaining wall job

Last fall I got lazy and picked up a pallet of that store brand mortar mix for $4 a bag instead of my usual brand. Mixed it up and it looked fine but after 3 days the joints were crumbling like old sand. Had to tear out 12 feet of wall and redo it with the good stuff, cost me an extra 6 hours of labor. Any of you guys had a mix that just didn't hold up?

ross.kim, my buddy Dave had his car keyed in a Target parking lot just for parking too close to someone. It turned into a whole weekend of dealing with insurance and the police. So yeah, it can be a pretty big deal.

Yeah, I read somewhere that parking lot disputes are actually one of the top reasons for random property damage. Sucks your buddy had to deal with that whole mess for just being a few inches off.
