Why I stopped wetting my brick before laying in 90 degree heat
Everyone at the site in Tucson kept telling me to dunk every brick because it was pushing 105, but I tried laying dry last month on a 3,000 brick job and the mortar set up way tighter. Anyone else notice wet brick just makes a sloppy joint you gotta tool twice?

Dry brick pulls the water outta the mortar faster, that's why it sets tighter.
