Bulk rice actually cost me more, not less. Here's what happened

Everyone in this group swears by buying 25 pound bags of rice from the Asian market. I tried it last month at H Mart in Atlanta because I wanted to save money, right? The math seemed so simple. But I forgot to factor in that I live alone and my tiny kitchen has zero dry storage. The bag got damp after two weeks, I had to toss half of it, and the pantry moths showed up by week three. The $18 bag ended up costing more per meal than the $4 bag from Kroger. I mean, maybe bulk works if you have a family or a sealed bucket system, but for a single person in a rental, it backfired hard. Has anyone else found a cheap way to store big bags without bugs or moisture taking over?

Respectfully disagree on the moisture part, I've kept 20lb bags in a $10 plastic bin from Target for months with zero issues. The trick is a cheap airtight container, not a sealed vacuum system, and moths never got a shot at mine.
