Found out canned beans beat dried for my $40 weekly food plan
I tried going all dried beans to save money, but after three weeks of soaking and long simmer times, I was ordering takeout twice a week just to have dinner on time. Switching to store brand canned beans cost me about $6 more per week, but I actually cook at home six nights now instead of four. Anyone else find that paying a little extra for convenience ends up cheaper than the "cheap" option nobody finishes?
