My $21 lentils experiment actually fed us for 6 days

Last month I tried to stretch a single bag of lentils and some frozen veg into a whole week of dinners. Turned out it made 6 portions of soup and 2 batches of patties. Anyone else got a cheap staple that keeps surprising them?
