My $8 grocery haul turned into a 4 course dinner disaster
Last Tuesday I decided to be fancy and make a budget charcuterie board with just $8 worth of stuff from Aldi. I grabbed the cheapest crackers, some mystery cheese that was marked down, and a sad little jar of olives. By the time I got home the cheese had completely melted into a puddle and the crackers were crumbs, so I just dumped everything into a bowl and called it 'deconstructed fondue'. My roommate walked in and asked if I was feeding a hamster. Has anyone else tried to be cute with cheap groceries and ended up with something unrecognizable?
