My bean soup went from sad to amazing in one month
I made a big pot of basic bean soup that tasted like nothing, so I started adding a spoonful of miso paste from the Asian market each time I reheated it. After about four bowls, the flavor totally changed and now it's my favorite cheap dinner. What's your go-to trick for making simple food taste way better?

That miso trick is so smart, it's like a flavor time bomb. When you say you add a spoonful each time you reheat, do you just stir it right into the hot soup, or do you dissolve it in a bit of broth first? I've had it clump up on me before.

What kind of miso did you use? I do the same thing with soy sauce in my boring rice.

Oh man, I read somewhere that letting soups sit for a day lets all the flavors really get to know each other.
