Spent 3 hours trying to make a $2 bag of dried beans taste like something
Tried the no-soak method for the first time last Tuesday and they came out crunchy after 90 minutes on the stove. Finally figured out my cheap pot doesn't hold heat for crap, so I finished them in the oven at 350 for another hour. Anyone got a trick that doesn't involve buying a $60 Dutch oven?
