Unpopular opinion: frozen vegetables are better than fresh for budget meals

Last Tuesday in Chicago I was prepping dinner and realized my 'fresh' broccoli had gone slimy after 3 days in the fridge. I was so annoyed because I spent $4 on that head just to toss it. I grabbed a $1 bag of frozen mixed veggies from my freezer instead and threw them in my stir fry. They crisped up perfectly in the pan and I didn't have to worry about them going bad. Honestly, frozen stuff lasts way longer and saves me from wasting money on spoiled produce. Has anyone else switched to frozen for their weekly meal prep?

I read somewhere that frozen veggies are actually more nutritious than fresh in a lot of cases because they're frozen at peak ripeness. Have you noticed any difference in taste with certain ones?

Broccoli can be hit or miss frozen, it gets kinda mushy if you don't roast it right after. But peas and corn are almost always better frozen since they're sweeter than the fresh ones that sat too long. Spinach is another one where frozen works great because it shrinks down so much when you cook it, the texture difference is barely noticeable. I buy a big bag of mixed frozen peppers and onions for stir fries and it saves so much time. Tastes fine to me but I get that some texture snobs can't handle it. What frozen veg do you actually avoid because of the texture?
