Why I stopped buying pre-made pizza dough at the store

I used to grab those $4 pizza dough balls from the refrigerated section at Kroger. Last week I decided to try making my own with just flour, yeast, water, and salt. Cost me about 50 cents for the same amount. The homemade dough had a better texture and browned up way nicer in my oven. Has anyone else found other store-bought staples that are way cheaper to just make yourself?

Oh come on, time is money and that dough never fails me when I'm in a hurry.

The 50 cent vs $4 math is wild when you break it down lol. @park.aaron is right about the fermenting thing though, dough actually gets better flavor if you let it sit in the fridge for a day or two. I tried making my own naan bread from scratch a few months back and it was way cheaper than the packs at the store too, just yogurt and flour basically.

Read somewhere that homemade dough ferments better over time, @viola_garcia56 it is time well spent.
